Project Detail
To streamline this process, an Airtight NFV Rotary Separator was mounted over a large bailing machine, working to separate and load shredded paper and card into the bailer. The NFV units are fairly short, eliminating the need for bulky cyclones. Their clever design and engineering also cancels out any chance of blockages, as the shredded waste product is continuously wiped from the mesh screen by an internal rotor.
The dust is then collected by an explosion-rated negative pressure reverse-air NFKV baghouse filter and swept into a briquette machine to be compressed into 60mm briquettes.
By installing the Airtight NFV Rotary Separator to their East Tamaki plant, Iron Mountain is able to handle recycled paper more efficiently and with minimal dust product and maintenance.
